![]() The remake of the first of the series, redone much later for the Sega Saturn. Yuna Remix, like the original Yuna game for the PC Engine it enhances, is a simple "digital comic" with an added battle system. Published in late 1996, this game allows the player to guide Yuna on her first adventure as a Galaxy Fraulein. The story is the same as the original, very linear for a video game, with few choices what to do. The combat interface lets you select Yuna's method of attack, defense, or insult (which can also do some damage to a character). However, unlike the PC Engine original, you can control Yuna's strentgh and agility by timing your choice of action to a set of guages fluctuating at different rates. Another improvement is the display in Yuna Remix is entirely full screen, and the character designs are updated to the more current style. However, this version is missing some of the quirks of the first version, such as a map of Neo-Tokyo, a cameo by Bomberman, and other more subtle changes. Yuna Remix comes with a special binder, 1997 calendar (plus a digital calendar on the disc), and a case for displaying Yuna Remix with "Mika Akitaka Illustration Works Vol. 1".
